The Incredibles

I loved it. Best movie of the year so far. Laughed out loud numerous times. Favorite character was Edna Mode, the superhero costume designer.

Team America: World Police

Crude, juvenile, tasteless... funny as hell. The Kim Jong-Il puppet deserves Oscar consideration...

Haven't read the book or seen any of the other movie versions, but I enjoyed it.

Bourne Supremacy

Not as good as the Bourne Identity, but definitely good. My main nit is that I kept wondering why Matt Damon's character wouldn't put a hat on when he's trying to lay low? Using an actual disguise might be a bit too Saint-ish, but he heads to Moscow in the winter and doesn't bother to put a hat on? Sheesh...

Say what?

How's this for a movie premise:

Based on the Bram Stoker Award nominee short story by acclaimed author Joe R. Lansdale, Bubba Ho-tep tells the "true" story of what really did become of Elvis. We find the King(Bruce Campbell) as an elderly resident in an East Texas rest home, who switched identities with an Elvis impersonator years before his "death", then missed his chance to switch back. Elvis teams up with Jack(Ossie Davis), a fellow nursing home resident who thinks that he is actually President John F. Kennedy, and the two valiant old codgers sally forth to battle an evil Egyptian entity who has chosen their long-term care facility as his happy hunting grounds...
I watched the trailer and thought it looks pretty good... too bad it's not scheduled to be in Boston any time soon...

Bowling for Columbine -- go see it!

Saw this movie last night and really enjoyed it (in a depressing sort of way). Asked some very relevant and tough questions that the U.S. out to start looking seriously at. It should probably be required viewing for all Americans... clips theater near you
